Getting the Douglas County list

Douglas County posts each Notice of Sheriff's Sale for its tax sales (most recently August 12, 2026) but no results or excess list. Ask the Douglas County Clerk of the District Court (Lawrence) which tracts sold for more than the judgment. Excess proceeds from a tax foreclosure sale (bid above the county's taxes, interest and costs) are paid into the court case and released by court order to the former owner or other party entitled (K.S.A. 79-2803).
