Getting the Will County list

The Will County Circuit Clerk posts no surplus list but publishes a "Notice and Motion for Turnover of Surplus Funds" form for claiming surplus in a foreclosure case. Ask the Circuit Clerk's chancery/civil division which cases hold surplus. Illinois tax sales leave no surplus for the owner; an owner who lost a home to a tax deed can petition the circuit court for payment from the county Indemnity Fund (35 ILCS 200/21-295).
