Getting the Lancaster County list

Lancaster County's website blocks automated access and we found no surplus list. Ask the Lancaster County Clerk of the District Court (Lincoln) which foreclosure cases hold excess proceeds from Sheriff's sales. Since LB 727 (2023) a tax certificate holder may take a treasurer's tax deed only when the owner's equity is $25,000 or less; otherwise the certificate must be foreclosed in district court (Neb. Rev. Stat. 77-1837, 77-1902), and sale proceeds above the taxes, interest and costs are paid into that court for the former owner.
